🏔️ History
Formerly known as Sextner Dolomiten (Sesto Dolomites), 3 Zinnen Dolomites is a jewel in South Tyrol, dominated by the spectacular peaks of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Drei Zinnen). Over the last decade, the resort has invested massively to interconnect several of its mountains (Helm, Stiergarten, Rotwand, and Kreuzbergpass), creating a seamless domain that has emerged as one of the most premium destinations in the Dolomiti Superski network.

☀️ Best days
Cold January days. The region is famous for having one of the most powerful and flawless artificial snowmaking systems in the world. In the winter cold, the slopes are true carpets of pristine snow, and the snowy landscape surrounded by vertical Dolomite rock faces is of unparalleled beauty.

🚫 Days to avoid
Late March if temperatures are very high. A large portion of the connecting slopes in the valleys lie below 1,500 m. Although their powerful cannons preserve the snow base, spring heat quickly turns them into ice in the morning and heavy, deep slush by early afternoon.

💡 Community tip
Do the "Giro delle Cime" (Tour of the Peaks). This is a 34 km signposted circuit that takes you through almost every sector of the resort, offering ever-changing views in each valley. When you're done, if you feel bold, challenge the mythical Holzriese slope: with a 71% gradient, it is the steepest groomed run in Italy.
