🏔️ History
Opened in the early 90s, Boí Taüll holds the title of having the highest skiable point in the Pyrenees (2,751 m). Located in the magical Vall de Boí (Lleida)—famous for its UNESCO World Heritage Romanesque churches—it is a resort designed almost exclusively for pure alpine skiing, without massive urban developments at the base.
☀️ Best days
Days following northern snowfalls. Thanks to its exceptional altitude and north-facing orientation, the resort acts like a true "freezer," preserving spectacular powder snow even when nearby valleys start to see snow melt. It is a paradise for enjoying long, sunny days with dry snow.
🚫 Days to avoid
Days with heavy blizzards. Because of its elevated, balcony-like location and the lack of forested areas on its upper slopes, it is highly vulnerable to strong winds. This can result in an extremely frigid wind chill and potential lift closures.
💡 Community tip
If you are an advanced skier, the descent from Puig Falcó towards the Moró valley is one of the gems of the Pyrenees, offering unbeatable views of the peaks in the Aigüestortes National Park. Afterwards, heading down the valley to soak in the thermal waters of Caldes de Boí is the perfect recovery.
