Nestled beneath the majestic Mount Civetta, this area blends the centuries-old traditions of villages like Alleghe and Zoldo with pioneering mountaineering history. The modern ski resort was developed to link these authentic valleys, becoming a key part of the Dolomiti Superski network and the evocative Great War Ski Tour.

From the second week of January onward, or mid-week throughout the season. It provides a much quieter, more authentic Dolomites experience compared to its highly commercialized neighbors.

Considered a "hidden gem," it's ideal for intermediate cruisers and scenery lovers. Arrive early for empty slopes and plan for an early lunch to beat the rush at the mountain huts. Don't miss night skiing in the Val di Zoldo sector, which boasts one of the largest floodlit ski areas in Europe.

🚗 Main access: The Civetta ski area encompasses Alleghe, Selva di Cadore, and Val di Zoldo. From the south (Venice/Treviso), take the A27 autobahn north until it ends at Belluno. From Belluno, you can continue towards Agordo and then to Alleghe (SS203), or exit at Longarone to drive up into the Val di Zoldo (SP251).
⚠️ Winter driving: The ascent from Belluno towards Agordo and Alleghe follows a deep, narrow gorge but is generally well-maintained in winter without extreme mountain passes. Driving up Val di Zoldo from Longarone is curvier. Winter tires or snow chains are legally required and essential, especially if you drive between the resort villages, as the crossing over the Forcella Staulanza pass is frequently snow-covered.
Local Tips
💡 Night skiing in Zoldo: If you stay in Val di Zoldo, you'll be treated to fantastic night skiing on the floodlit slopes of Pecol. It's an incredible experience and the lifts are directly accessible right from the village.
