Krvavec

🏔️ History
Krvavec opened its first chairlift in 1958 and is the second-largest ski resort in Slovenia. It holds the unique distinction of being located just 10 km from Ljubljana International Airport, making it one of the most easily accessible mountain resorts in Europe. Over the decades, it has undergone significant technical modernization, transforming from mountain pastures into a fully equipped alpine sports center.

Crisp, sunny weekday mornings. Sitting high in the Kamnik–Savinja Alps (1,450m–1,971m), the resort offers excellent grooming and reliable snow conditions, backed by a 95% snowmaking coverage, alongside grand panoramic views across the Ljubljana basin.

🚫 Days to avoid
Sunny weekends and public holidays. Its proximity to the capital means local crowds descend on the mountain, creating bottlenecks at the main Gospinca access gondola and packed slopes. Days with high northern winds should also be avoided, as they can force the closure of the exposed upper-mountain lifts.
