About the resort
🏔️ History
A former farming and logging village in Haute-Savoie, Morillon subtly transformed into a ski resort without losing its traditional architecture and tranquil ambiance. It forms part of the vast Grand Massif domain, linking its historic charm with modern alpine infrastructure.

Weekdays in January or early March. Being at a lower altitude, January ensures the best powder among the fir trees, creating fairytale-like descents.
🚫 Days to avoid
Fresh-snow weekends and the February school holidays; the main gondola up from the valley can experience significant bottlenecks.
💡 Community tip
This is the ultimate family corner. Unlike the modern Flaine (its big sister), Morillon offers long, winding green and blue pistes through the pine forests, perfect for beginners or flat-light days. The 5km "Marvel" green run is an absolute delight for children.

🚗 Access by road: To reach Morillon by car, follow the main highways leading from the closest gateway (Geneva Cointrin Airport). The final mountain ascent is well maintained, but expect sharp hairpins and typical mountain gradients of France.
