About the resort
🏔️ History
With roots dating back to the year 1000, the villages of Peisey-Nancroix retain their traditional alpine charm. Winter tourism began in 1963 at Plan Peisey, followed in 1986 by Vallandry, a purpose-built development. Today, it acts as the vital, picturesque bridge connecting the giants of Les Arcs and La Plagne within the Paradiski domain.
☀️ Best days
Anytime in January or April. These periods offer the best value and significantly quieter slopes, allowing you to enjoy its beautiful forest runs without the crowds.
🚫 Days to avoid
The February school holiday weeks and early March. Because it is geographically at the heart of Paradiski and hosts the Vanoise Express cable car, it experiences high volumes of passing skiers.
💡 Community tip
This is the perfect retreat for families and intermediates seeking authenticity and tranquility compared to its mega-resort neighbors. The tree-lined pistes here are fantastic (especially useful on flat-light days). The après-ski is very quiet; if you are looking for vibrant nightlife, you will need to head over to Arc 1800.
