About the resort

🏔️ History
Located in the province of Teruel, Valdelinares prides itself on sitting in the highest municipality in Spain (1,692 m). Managed by the Aramón group, this small, family-oriented resort transformed the local economy and serves as the primary "first snow" experience for generations of people from the nearby Valencia region.

☀️ Best days
Cold weekdays in January or February. While natural snowfall in Teruel can be sparse, the resort boasts one of the most potent and concentrated artificial snowmaking systems in Spain, ensuring excellent groomed runs as long as temperatures stay below freezing.

🚫 Days to avoid
Weekends and regional public holidays. Because it is less than a two-hour drive from major coastal cities like Valencia and Castellón, the resort and its car parks frequently reach full capacity, resulting in chaotic queues for ski passes and rentals.

💡 Community tip
Arrive extremely early to secure a parking spot. Valdelinares is unique in that the main parking lot is located at the top of the resort—meaning your day starts by skiing downhill before taking your first lift! It is perfect for absolute beginners and families, but advanced skiers will find the terrain far too limited for more than a few hours.
